System Info tab improvements include tossing out the old static label system and implementing a dynamic listbox with descriptive alerts that you now double-click on to launch the associated action. Most checks that ‘pass’ and do not trigger an attention alert (blue) or more serious issue (red) will now be listed in a ‘Passed Checks’ section at the end of the alerts list. Reporting improvements in recent versions include the ability to build a custom […]

d7II v2.2+ now includes a Virtual Evaluation mode, which allows you to run d7II (mostly) unrestricted in a virtual machine environment. So if you are curious about d7II and wanted to give it a test drive, now is your opportunity! Click Here to Evaluate d7II today!
Within d7II you may know that you have a “Work Report” which is generated on the fly as you use d7II, detailing what you’ve just done and optionally time stamping the log entries. Great idea, but because while some techs are keeping the reports just to log their own work, others are (or would prefer) to hand the report to the client. So in giving a report to your client, not everyone wants the same verbiage automatically […]
Changes in v7.0: NEW simplified and easy to understand interface, replacing the many obscurely labeled protection option check boxes with a few simple protection “levels” to select from (the old interface still exists in the Advanced menu, and it has been updated as well.) Updated to not trigger Malwarebytes Anti-Malware detections with the installed version (thanks to the MBAM research team.) Improved Filter Module function. Changed recommended defaults slightly. Enabled optional “Experimental Protection” level (the Experimental EXE/COM settings in the Filter […]
It seems people have a hard time getting d7 or d7II to run in WinPE (you’re just using the wrong build!!) Updated information from this blog post is now located on this page: Creating a WinPE 5.1 Bootable See our Tech Info page for more!
Basically a tech spoke to me about an alternative to HitmanPro Kickstarter, used to take out the tough malware that doesn’t let you run anything from inside Windows (including safe mode/command prompt.) Immediately I thought hey, why I don’t I take my recently invented dBug, and make it work offline?! See the official page for usage/details/download: https://www.d7xtech.com/vb6-projects/dbug/ Recent Changes: 1.1 – Added a WinPE mode so dBug can run from a WinPE environment and make its […]
Yes, another “d” product! dBug is a tiny utility that serves the same purpose as KillEmAll, to neutralize malware that prevents you from running anti-malware tools, while taking a far different approach and working much faster. dBug does NOT locate or remove malware. It merely provides you with the opportunity to run anti-malware tools or manually find and remove the malware. More info + video + download here: https://www.d7xtech.com/vb6-projects/dbug/
There is a new license in town, and it’s the new d7II Single Technician license, which can be purchased for a mere $179/annual. That’s like $15/month when you break it down. NICE! New subscribers: Simply go to the website and subscribe to the new plan! Existing subscribers: If you are a single technician with no employees then you qualify for the new pricing plan. If you qualify: If you are currently subscribed to an annual plan, you may contact […]
EDIT: dErase v2.0 just released with a user interface and combining both executables. The freeware dErase is a tiny app designed for one purpose only, to delete files and/or directories, with optional secure deletion routines. Simply drag n’ drop the file or directory tree you want to delete onto the dErase executable to select that object for deletion. What makes dErase different from standard delete utilities, is that it will ignore file system ownership/permissions entirely while deleting. dErase Homepage
