Added new “Battery Report” to reports options (using powercfg /batteryreport) which saves the html report file in your d7x reports directory. Added an “Info Report (Minimal)” which does not gather any mail settings at all, any wireless passwords/network info, or any product keys. This can be found on the Audit/Diagnose/Testing tab in the left column, and can also be added to session start via Config > Custom Apps > Assign App/Function to Section. Added ability […]
EC2Tool is a utility designed for two purposes: Amazon EC2 Backup Management! Automatically create new and delete old snapshots for existing Amazon EC2 volumes on a schedule. (Premium/paid feature.) EC2Tool was originally created to be a one-time-purchase/perpetual license app to manage your EC2 backups without having to subscribe to a backup service. As a secondary purpose, EC2Tool can also automatically reboot Amazon EC2 instances on a schedule. (FREE feature!) EC2Tool can be useful for anyone with Amazon EC2 instances, including […]
Added list of ‘Installed Apps’ and ‘Installed Store Apps (Non-Microsoft)’ to the Info Report. Added Edge (Chromium) version to the Info Report. Cleaned up the battery details in the Info Report, and removed all values with empty data; also cleaned up formatting of some other items (e.g. Mapped Drives and others) in the Info Report and removed some unnecessary data. Info Report should no longer report RAID volumes as a blank SMART HDD status.
For the new Windows Updates (DISM Wrapper) – updated install time to a year-first date and leading zero based format so Windows Update lists would display in chronological order. Changed the date format for reports storage in file/folder naming to use leading zeros on months/days so dated folders and email file attachments etc. will display in chronological order when in a list.
Added d7x function to enable Windows System Restore, which is disabled by default on Windows 10. This can be conveniently added to your Start Session for example, to always run on each system, just before creating a restore point which is another pre-existing d7x function. Can also be used with d7x scripting/automated RDT deployments. Added “System Restore Points” under the d7x Internal drop down menu, giving you an interface to enable/disable/view/restore but most importantly to […]
Registry Hive backup function now backs up registry hives to your ‘Local d7x Operating Directory’ (Config > Session tab > Session Paths/Files tab) instead of a static backup location in C:\Support Fixed an issue with dSupportSuite where it wasn’t recognized as installed if your licensed company name ends in a period “.” Also made minor updates to many of the d7x modules used by various internal functionality. v21.2.19.1 – Fixed d7x Functions searches not finding […]
Fixed an issue with dUninstaller (UI) failing to uninstall programs that can’t be uninstalled silently, with this version if a program fails a silent uninstall it will execute the standard uninstall string of the application, most likely triggering user interaction for the uninstall process. Behavior of the “dUninstaller (Auto)” function has not changed, it will continue to fail on these installers and move on to the next item. Fixed some settings preferences getting cleared when […]
Added ability to run Custom Apps with standard user privileges (as opposed to Admin/default or TrustedInstaller) which is probably most useful for certain scripts you may be using, not so much for the apps themselves. Fixed (hopefully) a timing issue causing d7x to fail in either updating itself and/or in configuration switching when d7x is run from a flash drive with slower write speeds. Fixed ‘Map Pre-Defined Network Drive(s)’ in the Network drop down menu. […]
Added the ability to test your configured Map Drives directly from d7x Config > Session > Session Paths/Files, with verbose error messages. Fixed an issue where Mapping Drives in d7x did not persist after logoff/reboot, now mapped drives should remain persistent as expected until End Session is run.
Added ability to search/run all custom apps directly from the d7x Tools tab. You can once again save persistent config settings for default custom apps. Fixed an issue causing the Autoruns custom app to always run dUninstaller afterwards. The search box for custom apps including the new one on the d7x Tools tab, the d7x Config > Custom Apps tab, and the floating window now finds search terms in the app’s description as well.
