Disk Health Monitor 2.0 just released!
Now it actually runs as a Windows service!
Founder and Developer - After over a dozen years "in the trenches" as a computer repair technician specializing in malware removal, I came to focus on a software development hobby. Initially I created tools to assist technicians like myself with the inefficient, repetitive, and mundane tasks PC techs face daily, in order to provide a far more efficient means of getting the job done. Later came an interest in using my development skills and tech experience for prevention of malware...
Now it actually runs as a Windows service!
“Is D7 really so buggy that you have to update it every couple of days? Dude, why not wait for a legitimate major update once a month or less? It’s like you can’t get it right,.sort of like Bill what his name…Go fly a kite at Kitty Hawk…“ [EDITED: Reason being, I flew off the handle a little bit…] Some anonymous scum bag who likes drive-by internet put downs sent me that just a few minutes...
Yep. v5.1 now downloads any missing application on the fly! What this means for new users – NO SETUP REQUIRED! What this means for existing users – now you can keep slim copies of D7 with no 3rd party applications for quick and easy transfer when working on remote systems, etc. Usage scenario: you’re working remotely and need to transfer D7 to a remote PC. Rather than transfer D7 and ALL of the 3rd party...
Here’s the deal: I get a lot of requests for the ability to run D7 Auto’s Maintenance routine with command line parameters for full automation and scripting usage. Likewise, I get requests for the same of dSupport, sort of a “corporate” version where a systems administrator can push out maintenance via group policy. What it boils down to is that some people want to run these maintenance tasks from my apps with certain additional features...
I had several requests from techs who like to leave D7 and all of the 3rd Party Tools on a client’s computer – especially when working on a remote system the download of everything can be quite time consuming… So with v4.9.6 the Close & Delete D7 Directory button has been renamed to Close with Options. Now it enables you to delete itself as before, but you may instead choose to password protect the D7...
Watch it here!
Most of you know I integrated DataGrab into D7 some time ago. As part of making D7 more modular, I have decided to separate DataGrab once again. Don’t worry, DataGrab is still integrated into D7, but with the separated release I am gearing it more towards a personal backup solution with batch/automation. So now we have DataGrab v2, currently ALPHA release. Final release. It should function exactly as it does within D7, with the exception...
Getting Drivers with D7 and D7 – Zero Access Removal Hopefully I can crank out a few more soon. Thanks for watching!
Still ISO a complete ZeroAccess malware sample… But thought I would share a few spots I’ve found to pick up various malware samples for others in their search… A lot of people know of www.malwaredomainlist.com a site listing infected domains. Unfortunately all but the most recent entries on the site are usually already taken down or no longer spread infection. Then there is http://www.offensivecomputing.net/ where you can directly download samples. I have several notes for you on this site....
Please email me your COMPLETE samples (I want a nice full infection here, no stubs!) Prefer you compress in 7z format, and password protect the archive. Then rename to a non-standard file extension. I don’t need my email provider rejecting important mail! Trying to collect good samples with which to make some new Youtube vids demonstrating removal techniques with D7. Thanks!
