Default Browser used by d7x
Choose which browser d7x will use for any web searches or other actions initiated through d7x or it’s tools.
- Always use the System Default Browser – Does what it says.
- Use the d7x Internal Browser – Uses the d7x web browser, a very basic stripped down browser that supports basically no web tech but can show you search results just fine. Set a homepage in the field below.
- Use a custom portable browser – Select the browser path below. It is expected that a portable browser will accept a URL to be passed as a command line argument (any that I know of do.) The browser must reside in the \3rd Party Tools directory, but this path must not be present in the box above, use a relative path e.g. “Opera\Launcher.exe”
Search Engine Used with d7x Spawned Web Searches
- Custom Search Engine URL – Define a url pattern here or select one from the Predefined Engines drop down above. Leave blank for standard English Google search.
Custom Site Searches
These search sites appear in the d7x Search drop down menu in the main user interface. Add a site to search only that website for content when using the d7x Search drop down menu.
